I discovered a site only less than two months ago, even though it has been around for a while now already. A site on which one can make money by answering easy questions. That site is WebAnswers. Learn more about how WebAnswers works, on the WebAnswers site. Or right here, on this page on this Make Money Use Internet site!
How do you make money on WebAnswers?
You answer questions! There are loads of new questions on WebAnswers every day, as well as loads and loads of older questions too. Each question can have more than one person answering that question, so there is plenty of opportunity for all members of WebAnswers to make money on the site, answering easy questions.
Once you have answered 50 questions, you get invited to apply for an Adsense account, or to link up your Adsense account if you already have an Adsense account.
Then you can earn from your answers on WebAnswers, and also from the first 50 answers you already gave.
When can you NOT earn from your answers on WebAnswers?
a)
When you have not yet answered 50 questions and have not yet connected up your Adsense account;
b)
When somebody else's answer was chosen as the best answer by the person who asked the question
When CAN you earn from your answers on WebAnswers?
a)
Once you have answered 50 questions and have linked up your Adsense account;
b)
When your answer is on the same page as a question asked, even if there are other answers there too, as long as nobody has yet been awarded the best answer award by the person who has asked the question (many questions on the site never have a best answer awarded, so there is plenty of opportunity to earn on WebAnswers, even if you hardly ever get the "best answer" award to a question) Some people (who asked a question) also take as long as a month or more before awarding a best answer, and until that time, all people who answered the question can earn from having answered that question

Is it easy?
Well, I think getting an Adsense account through WebAnswers (if you do not yet have an Adsense account) is possibly the easiest method I've so far come across of getting an Adsense account (and then you can use your same Adsense publisher ID on other sites too, or place Adsense ads on your own sites!)
There are some difficult questions to answer on WebAnswers, and if you don't know the answer but would like to answer, you may need to do some Internet research first, but there are plenty of easy questions on WebAnswers, that you can answer just from thinking of your own experiences, or simply answer by giving your opinion.
Is it easy to make money on WebAnswers?
Well, you are not going to make a fortune, but it's a fun, easy and handy way to earn some extra income just for answering easy questions. Do not join WebAnswers if all you are after is the money. There is not a ton of money to be made on WebAnswers, but a reasonable extra income amount could be made if you're the type of person who likes to help others by answering their questions - on a really large variety of topics.
Question:
So I answer questions on WebAnswers to make money, but how do I actually earn that money, and get that money?
Answer:
Google Adsense pays you. Once your earnings reach an amount of $100, or R1 000 if you are South African living in South Africa, then Google Adsense posts you a cheque in the mail. Or pays you via whichever payment method you chose when you first applied for and got your Adsense account.
The money you earn is earned for you via visitors to the pages on WebAnswers that have one of your answers on them. If those visitors click an advert on the page (so they can go visit the site the advert links to) then you earn a small commission for having helped that advertiser get visitors to his or her site.
Some important warnings:
Google Adsense may reject or deny your Adsense account application if you don't have a lot of content on WebAnswers. Having to first answer 50 questions before you can be invited to apply for an Adsense account, or to link up your existing Adsense account if you already have an Adsense account (have been using Adsense on other sites already) does help, but your answers need to each be reasonably long too, and contain good grammar and spelling.
One or two line answers to the questions on WebAnswers not only doesn't do much to help the person who asked the question, but also doesn't do much for your chances of earning from your answers.
Try aim at writing at least 6 to 8 lines for your answers, preferably more.
Watch your grammar and spelling. You cannot go back and edit answers you have just made until you have received 5 best answer awards. I did not receive my first best answer award until after I'd answered my first 50 questions.
It took me three days to answer 50 questions. Although I spent a lot of time on WebAnswers on the first day, after that I spent and do spend only my spare time there, answering questions.
Never click the ads on the same pages that you have your answers published on - you risk losing your Adsense account and never being able to get it back again. This Adsense rule does not only apply to WebAnswers - when you have an Adsense account, never click the ads on any same page that you have your writing published on.

How much can I earn on WebAnswers?
Answer:
It's different for everybody, as the amount that you can earn depends on a lot of things, on some things like:
how frequently you visit WebAnswers and answer questions;
how many questions you answer regularly;
the quality and length of your answers;
how much traffic the pages your answers are on receive;
if your answer is not awarded as the best answer to a question, and nobody esle's answer is awarded as the best answer either, eveybody who answered the question shares in the earnings (as well as the owners of the site);
if your answer is awarded as the best answer to a question, then only you and the owners of the site share in the earnings from that page
In the month of June 2012, in my spare time, I helped others by answering their questions on WebAnswers, and I earned about R170 in June for doing that ( about $19 ).

How Long Before I can Make $350 per month from this Site?
$350 per month is about R3 000 per month (for my South African readers) and I think I may have been able to make that much each month from this site already had I added more than just 26 articles to this site in the past 19 months.
I'm actually going to work with the figure of 24 articles to do some maths now, because my earnings from this site stayed roughly the same, on average each month, after adding 24 articles to the site, even when I added only 2 new articles in the next 12 months after those first 24 articles! This is my 27th article, I added the 26th article a little while earlier today, and the 25 article 6 months ago. I added the 24th article 6 months before that!
This site keeps earning me money even when I go a good few months without writing and adding any new articles to it!
But my earnings from this site are not all that much ( R1 252 in 19 months is an average of about only R65 per month over the past 19 months ) (about $7.60 per month) - but then I can't expect too much when these earnings have come from only 24 to 25 articles that I added in 19 months (added no.26 and this one no.27 today only.) But at least this site is a totally free site; no domain registration and hosting costs, or domain registration and hosting renewals.
Imagine if I'd added 20 articles a month instead of less than 2 a month on average - maybe, just maybe, my earnings would have been R650 per month (about $76), on average, instead!
Now, if you look at my previous article where I listed each month's earnings over the past 6 months (yes, still earned even though I didn't add any new articles in the past 6 months - actually added only 1 new article in the past 12 months, and still earned!) you will see that I worked out that it may be possible, that once I have gotten my average monthly earnings up to an income I am happy with (by adding new articles to increase traffic to this site) then it seems that I may have to add only one new article every 4 to 9 weeks to maintain that average monthly income.)
So, to see if it works out, and to help my readers consider doing the same, ot something similar, I hope I can find the time to conduct an experiment.
My experiment would be to see if I can more rapidly increase my monthly earnings from this site, by making a greater effort at adding new articles to it, more frequently. Of course adding new articles to a site generally helps increase traffic to that site (and thus helps increase earnings from that site too, for the person who writes articles for that site) but I wonder how long it would take me to reach earnings of say $350 per month. (Then I could report back on how long it took, and on how many articles I wrote to get that point.)
Of course earnings can be increased in other ways too, like by getting more traffic to a site by leaving links to a site (or to different pages of that site) on other sites, but, although I do have some links on other sites coming to this site from other sites, and may still get a few more links from other sites, I'd like to see how simply writing and adding many more articles to this site can help.

How long will it take me to add 1 200 (less 27 articles with this one) = 1 173 articles to this site?
If I could add 20 new articles a month, it will take me 5 years to add 1 200 new articles to this site
If I could add 30 new articles a month, it will take me 3 years and 4 months.
If I could add 45 new articles a month (one and a half a day) it will take me nearly 2 years 7 months
If I could add 60 new articles a month (2 per day) it will take me 1 year 8 months
If I could add 90 new articles a month (3 per day) it will take me about 1 year and 3 months
If I could add 120 new articles a month (4 per day) it will take me about 10 months
Argggh, hard work, and where will I find the time to do other things like work? (I'm a freelancer, and when I don't work at that, I don't earn money from that.) I also have a few other sites that I should add a new article to from time to time, to increase or maintain the passive income earnings I make from those sites.
But still, I would like to attempt to add as many new articles to this site as I can. I think I've said that before (and didn't do anything about it) but in my last article on this site it became clearer to me that once I am earning an income from this site that I am happy with, each month, I may only have to add one new article every 4 to 9 weeks to keep receiving those monthly earnings. That's a great reward to work towards.
Also, depending on how rapidly traffic increases to this site as I pay more attention to adding new articles to it, and also depending on if I spend a little time on getting more links to this site from other sites, and also if I spend a little time on carefully choosing phrases and words to put in my articles (SEO tactics) then my traffic (and earnings) may increase to a level I am happy with before the estimated time periods in my calculations further above.

Update on How Much Money this Free Blog has Made me
I see I have not added a new post to this Make Money Use Internet blog in about 6 months. Bad of me! Why bad? This site does not cost me any domain registration or hosting renewals; it's a free site, and it makes me some money, so I should have been trying to add some new articles to it more regularly. Writing and adding more articles to this site helps increase traffic (visitors) to this site, and thus helps increase my earnings from this site.
I thought I would do an update on how much money this free blog has made me. I last wrote about how much money this free blog has made me about 6 months ago - even then, I had not added a new article in the previous 6 months, but what was so great was that this site still made me some money during those months that I didn't bother to add any new articles. I'm curious to check if earnings continued in the next 6 months after that, from then until now, at roughly the same rate, or if my earnings decreased.
Have a look at that last article I wrote about how much money this free blog has made me to see a list of a breakdown for each month (how many articles I wrote and added to this site each month, and how much money this site earned me each month, from when I first started with this site in January 2011 - you will note that even in months that I added no new articles to this site, I still earned money from this site.)
This site is now 19 months old, and this is the 26th article I'm adding to it (an average of less than 2 articles a month). How I wish I'd added about 20 new articles to this site each month instead, as that would have made this article roughly the 380th article I'm adding to this site, instead of only the 26th. I suspect my earnings from this site may have been as much as ten times more than they are now, had I added 20 articles a month instead of only 2. Maybe, maybe not (that much more) but still a much greater chance of increased earnings had I added many more articles each month over the past 19 months than I have been adding.
Here's an extended list of what's been happening with my earnings from this site since 6 months ago:

Although June 2012 took a severe knock, things seem to be bouncing back up again for this month - this is promising when I haven't added any new articles in the past 6 months. And if I think about it, besides this article that I'm busy with right now, I added only 1 article in the past 12 months - and have still continued to earn money each month just from the other articles I had already added before that! Jeepers, I should have been writing and adding many more articles whenever I got the chance to.

The decrease in earnings for the second lot of 6 months tells me that even if I do continue earning without adding any new articles to this site, my earnings may drop off a little. And the best thing to do is to keep adding new articles whenver I get the chance to. It would seem, however, that simply to maintain whatever earnings I was making on average per month 6 months ago, I may have had to add only 1 new article every month, or only even every 2 months.
Once I've got my earnings on this site up to a monthly income I'm happy with, I'm pleased to know, now, that adding only one article every month or every two months after that, seems likely to be enough to maintain monthly earnings from this site.
Let's say for example that this site can eventually earn me about R3 000 per month (currently about $350), after I add considerably more articles to it, and if I was happy to then stop adding new articles to try and increase my income further - then to maintain that income each month into the future, all I would have to do is add one new article every 4 to 9 weeks! Cool! That would be R3 000 per month for about only 2 hours work a month!
Of course it may not pan out like that, but it may, so I'm being optimistic and looking forward to that time - I'm not going to get there or even find out if that approach would really work, though, if I don't start adding quite a few new articles to this site - the more I add, and the sooner that I do, the sooner I can get closer to trying to reach my goals!
Of course I could also NOT write anything new for this site (although I think to keep readers happy and make this site not seem outdated or old, I would still add one new article every 4 to 9 weeks) I could also work at increasing traffic to this site in other ways, besides writing tons of new articles for the site - I could for example link to this site more, or to articles on this site, from other sites.
Anyway, bottom line:
You can make money with a free site - maybe less than me, maybe more than me, but you can do it!
